MOTTO of Melvin University

(Rev. Myoungsang Kim/ Chairman)

FAITH Let’s have faith
Let‘s have the FAITH in the Almighty God of salvation who created the heavens and the earth. We absolutely believe in the words of the 66 books of the Bible and believe that the 66 books of the Bible are guides for life. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior. And we believe that the Holy Spirit is our Wiser and our Comforter. Believe in your self-confidence. Also let’s believe in who God created me as who we are, and believe that we can do anything with the talents He has given us.

HONESTY Be honest
Don’t be lier and be honest and give confidence. He is honest in his work according to the law set by Himself, and there is no blemish in the laws and rules. Become a steward who is honest with His riches and does not deceive His conscience. Let us recognize that we are living before God.

DILIGENCE Let’s be diligent
A person who is diligent in everything can avoid poverty. A person who is diligent in everything becomes a leader. A person who is diligent in all things can jump far and high.

VISION Let’s have a vision
God’s vision is our vision. Let’s do our best to achieve our vision. Let’s give glory to God only when we achieve our vision. Let’s pass on the vision to the next generation. ■

Founding Philosophy of Melvin University
Melvin University is a school that nurtures global Christian leaders in line with the educational ideology of Kenya and Korea. In particular, we preach the gospel and educate the right Christian knowledge in Kenya, where there is probably no Christian knowledge. We want to train educated people to become leaders who can revive the economic growth of the underdeveloped region and Kenya as well.

Educational Goal of Melvin University
The educational goal pursued by our university is ‘to produce new leaders who change the nation and the world with the spirit of the cross, the basic academic excellence of PACE, global citizenship, and a good Christian character, and thus honesty and sacrifice of service. ‘Localization’, ‘academic excellence based on creative convergence’, and ‘character/spiritual education’ are the specific goals of our education.■
